It was a great 4th of July. Fun times the night of the 3rd. It was good to see all my friends at the various places I visited. 4th was filled with BBQ and freedom.

I also saw Superman Returns. Now I am a bit biased because I love Superman, but I have to say I greatly enjoyed that movie. Brandon Routh did a great job capturing the same essence that Christopher Reeve had. Lois Lane, eh, whatever. But the story was good in a comic book sort of way. It brought back many memories of me as a child going to see the first Superman movie with my mom at the Lakewood Theater in Dallas one rainy Saturday afternoon. When it was over and we went outside it was raining and my mom asked me, “You want to see it again?”. “We can do that?!” I replied. She called my step dad and told him we would be late and we went right back in the theater and watched it again. Ah the salad days.
